Best Custom Song App 2026: App Store, Google Play & the Web Compared

Best Custom Song App: The Quick Answer

There is no app from any of the established custom song services. Songfinch, Songlorious, Just Our Song, Divine Song, Timeless Song, Unique Song, Melody of Us, Forever Songs and OurSong Studio all run on the web — you answer questions in the browser and the song arrives on a page or by email that works on any phone. What the App Store and Google Play offer under “custom song” is different: mostly song-generator apps sold as weekly or monthly subscriptions, a few one-song unlocks, template “birthday song with your name” apps, and an app called OurSongs: Custom Song Maker that is not OurSong Studio.

OurSong Studio offer, checked 9 October 2026: Create a free 90-second preview with no payment card needed. Recording usually takes a few minutes after you approve the lyrics. A one-time US$49.95 payment unlocks the full song, MP3 download, shareable song page, lyrics and custom artwork. Three song revisions are included after purchase. Optional extras, including a lyric video for eligible orders, are priced separately. Our 30-day refund policy covers eligible issues after up to three revisions; downloaded songs, change of mind, personal taste and the recipient’s reaction are excluded from satisfaction refunds. Faulty-file remedies and consumer rights still apply.

If you want a song written from your story, with the lyrics shown to you first and the finished song played before you pay, OurSong Studio does that on the web for US$49.95, one payment, in minutes — nothing to install. This page lists what is in the stores, what to check before subscribing, and where the services people recommend actually live.

Is There an OurSong Studio App?

No. OurSong Studio has no app and publishes none; custom songs are made only at oursong.studio. Two store listings use a similar name, and people searching “oursong app” find them first, so here is the plain record as of 24 September 2026:

• App Store — “OurSongs: Custom Song Maker”, seller REFORM DEVELOPERS LTD. Free to download; in-app purchases “Weekly Song Create Access” $9.99–$12.99, “Monthly” $15.99, “Yearly” $39.99–$49.99. 4.7 stars from 507 ratings.
• Google Play — “OurSongs: Custom Song Maker”, developer Innovtiv, package name com.oursong.studio. In-app purchases; 4.6 stars from 3.46K reviews; 500K+ downloads; updated 19 September 2026.

Neither listing is operated by, affiliated with, or connected to OurSong Studio. If you meant OurSong Studio — the song written from your story that you hear before paying — it is the website, and the full explanation is on our official app page.

What Is Actually in the App Store and Google Play

Searching “custom song gift” in Google Play on 24 September 2026 returned three kinds of app. Prices and ratings are as shown on the listings that day.

Three things stand out. The gift-focused apps are new and small (17 ratings, or none). The pricing model is a subscription to keep generating, not a price for one finished song — a week of “song create access” costs $7–$13 and renews. And none of them describe reading the lyrics before the song is made, revisions, or a money-back guarantee.

The Services People Recommend Are Websites

Every established custom song service is web-only. None of them lists an app, and each delivers to a page or email that opens on any phone:

• Songfinch — from $179.99, a musician you choose, 7 days. Web.
• Songlorious — $95–$315 by length and genre, real singers, 4 business days. Web.
• Just Our Song — $79 or $119, shown at checkout, 48 hours or 30 minutes. Web.
• Divine Song and Timeless Song — $99 plus add-ons, 7 days. Web.
• Unique Song — $79, 7 days or 24 hours for $49 more. Web.
• Melody of Us and Forever Songs — web, delivered by email or song page.
• OurSong Studio — US$49.95, in minutes, heard before you pay. Web.

The reason is simple: a custom song is a one-off purchase, and a song page in the browser does everything an app would — plays the song, shows the lyrics, shares with a link — without asking the person receiving it to install anything. Prices above were checked on 24 September 2026; see the full price table.

App or Website: Five Things to Check Before You Pay

• One price or a subscription? “Weekly access” renews; a finished song for one payment doesn’t.
• Who writes the lyrics, and do you see them first? A generator takes a prompt and hands back a song. A service writes lyrics from your answers — the better ones show them to you before anything is recorded.
• Can you hear it before paying? Most can’t. OurSong Studio plays the finished song first; Just Our Song and the GiftSong unlock app offer a preview.
• What do you own afterwards? A download you keep, or a song locked inside an app you have to stay subscribed to.
• Changes and refunds? Look for a stated revision count and a guarantee with a number of days on it, not “we’ll make it right”.

OurSong Studio Without an App

OurSong Studio runs at oursong.studio on any phone. You answer a few questions about the person, read the lyrics written from your answers and change anything you like, then listen to the finished song. If you love it, it is US$49.95, once: a song page with animated lyrics that you can send as a link, a download you keep, custom album art, three revisions of lyrics or music, and a 30-day refund policy for eligible issues. Nothing to install on your side or theirs.

If you want to generate many songs for yourself, a general song maker such as Suno on a paid plan is the tool for that.
